headspace Peninsula is a local consortium of 12 agencies including the Peninsula GP Network, Peninsula Health, drug and alcohol services, local governments, employment and education, private providers and social welfare agencies.  This strategic alliance of services aim together to establish a local, collaborative service improving access to services for young people aged 12-25 years and their families at risk of or suffering from mental health (MH) and alcohol and other drug (AOD) disorders.  Other services located with headspace Peninsula include YSAS (Youth Drug and Alcohol Services), Peninsula Youth and Family Services (Reconnect, Youth Housing) and Peninsula Health Community Health and Youth Mental Health services, Peninsula Support Services, Mental Illness Fellowship Centrelink, Skillplus, Peninsula youth Connections, LYFT and CRS all provide in-reach services to the site.

 

The successful applicant will have experience in working in a leadership role in a multidisciplinary team; you will have a depth of knowledge in working with young people, their families and the wider community around Mental Health. 

The successful applicant will develop systems within headspace Peninsula and between headspace and other services across the four service streams of primary care, AOD, Mental Health and vocational service.   They will assume a primary role in the development of family services pathways and the delivery of single session family therapy within the youth access/clinical intake team.
