General Counsellor incorporating Family, Alcohol & Other-Drugs Portfolio

 

REF# 12/033. Hours Negotiable up to 40 hours per week.
Generalist Counselling forms a part of both vacancies. Generalist Counselling provides a diverse range of counselling and support services for residents of the Colac-Otway region. The target group may consist of individuals, couples and families, from 16 years of age, with the primary objective to increase wellbeing.
 
The role of the Alcohol & other Drugs Family Counsellor will be to provide counselling and support to families in order to promote, maintain and strengthen their capacity to support themselves and family members experiencing alcohol and/or other drug problems.   The Alcohol & other Drugs Family Counsellor will have as minimum Cert. IV in Alcohol & other Drugs, or a willingness to obtain this qualification.
 
General Counsellor Incorporating the Family Violence Portfolio 
 
REF#10/032. Hours Negotiable up to 40 hours per week
The Family Violence Clinician provides a diverse range of counselling and support services for women from 16 years of age. The emphasis of the role is providing therapeutic counselling, case management and group work for women experiencing family violence and/or other aspects of women’s well-being. The Family Violence Clinician recognises the diversity of women’s lives and values these differences and similarities
