Windana is a major provider of alcohol and other drug treatment services in Victoria. Expressions of interest sought for AOD professionals for a leadership/coordinator position with Windana Drug and Alcohol Recovery in St Kilda. Providing coordination and leadership to the Intake and Assessment processes as well as the broader supervision of our forensic counsellors. The role will still have a ‘hands-on’ client contact focus. This position would suit the competent senior clinician, team leader coordinator with significant professional experience in the AOD sector.
The successful candidate will have the following key competencies:
- Experience in the AOD field.
- High level, proven leadership skills.
- Experience using an electronic client information management system or similar.
- Relevant academic qualifications in social work, psychology, counselling or relevant health or human services experience.
- A working knowledge of the forensic drug treatment service system.
- Excellent counselling & case management skills.
- Excellent client interpersonal skills and communication.
- Experience in working with people with mental illness.
- Ability to facilitate groups with clients.
- The capacity to work as a committed team member.
- A proven capacity to work with a variety of community agencies and develop effective working relationships
