Maremont Supported Accommodation Information
Maremont is a supported accommodation service with two houses in the community of Bass Coast Victoria. Residents attend day program activities from Monday to Friday. It is important to note that the program is not staffed on a 24 hour/ 7 days a week basis and is strongly focused on the principles of self help and mutual support. As such, we require that clients take responsibility for their own recovery by making choices surrounding the way they spend their time outside the program hours. Clients unable to live in the community and remain drug and alcohol free with minimal support may be better suited to a residential rehabilitation service with a higher level of supervision.
The Maremont Program does not accept clients on pharmacotherapy programs aside from Naltrexone Baclofen and Campral therefore we do not work with clients currently prescribed methadone or buprenorphine (subutex or suboxone). It is also important to note that we do not permit the use of benzodiazepines within the program (ie. Valium, serapax, temazepam etc.)
The Maremont program requires that clients attend two peer support meetings per week. One of these is SMART (Self Management & Recovery Training) the other may be AA or NA. The participation in the fellowship allows clients to form relationships with others outside of the program and set up a support network for when they leave the program.
Clients generally stay in the program for 3 months, although this can be negotiated if therapeutic benefit is identified by BCCHS staff and client. Cost during stay is 50% of income with a further $20.00 per week utilities.
The Maremont Program currently has a vacancy and information can be obtained by contacting the Maremont Supported Accommodation Worker on 5671 3500
