This is your last chance to register for the VAADA Conference 2011
Dear Colleague,
This is your last chance to register for the VAADA Conference 2011 – Transitions: people, policy, practice on 17th and 18th February 2011 at the Jasper Hotel in Melbourne!
Registrations are still open, but with one week left until the conference there are only a few places available. To register visit http://conference.vaada.org.au/registration.
The Victorian Alcohol and Drug Association (VAADA) is the peak organisation for alcohol and other drug services in Victoria. VAADA’s regular bi-annual conferences are well attended by alcohol and drug treatment providers, both staff and agency managers, as an important opportunity for networking and exchange of ideas on latest trends and future challenges. There is also a good representation of Government attendees, as well as cross-sectoral support from our colleagues that work in a diverse range of health and community sectors.
This year’s conference, Transitions: people, policy, practice covers a range of issues focusing on the transitions and movements within the alcohol and other drug (AOD) field as we move towards 2020. We secured interesting and inspiring keynote speakers, such as John Challis, internationally recognised expert in co-occurring disorders. Program features 48 items - plenaries, presentations, workshops and panel discussions – on topics such as:
- Transitions in clinical practice
- Transitions in drug use patterns and harms
- Cultural transitions and diverse populations
- Transitions and intersections between AOD and other services
- Policy and research transitions
For more information and full program please visit the conference website http://conference.vaada.org.au/.
We look forward to seeing you at our 2011 Conference!
